Welcome to Saint Paul's Lutheran Church and School!
We have been located in the Town of Forest, Wisconsin for the past 160 years. We are a Christian Congregation who gather regularly to grow in our faith through the preaching and teaching of God's Holy Word found in the Bible. Saint Paul's operates a Christian Day School which begins with 3K and goes through 8th grade. We thank you for visiting our site and invite you to look around in hope you find all of the information that you are looking for. If you have a specific question you would like to ask, please contact us.
What We Believe
This congregation was formed in the mid 1800's as a way for believers in the one true God to gather for regular worship for the glory of God and the strengthening of their faith. St. Paul's is a member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS).
This congregation accepts and confesses all the canonical books of the Old and New Testament as inspired Word of God and the only divine rule of faith and life; also the symbolical books of the Ev. Lutheran Church, viz.,the unaltered Augsburg Confession, The Apology of the same, The Smalcald Articles, both Catechisms of Dr. Martin Luther, and the Formula of Concord.
A Message from Pastor Headrick
Greetings to you from the members and staff of St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church and School:
People often make the comment about our church and school: “I know where you’re located, right on Hwy. 23.” Yes, that’s us, the church about eight miles east of Fond du Lac on Hwy 23. In fact, we’ve been at this location more than 160 years. We’re proud of being at the same location all this time.
It’s interesting to think what it must have been like way back then. Hwy 23 was probably just a trail in 1860. Perhaps, it had been an old Indian trail used for centuries by the native Americans who lived and hunted in these parts. Our church was probably surrounded by dense forests back then with a small area cleared for the new church. Maybe a person could just make out the steeple from a distance. In 1860 the parking lot (if there was one) was filled with real horse-powered carriages. How things have changed!
Our prayer at St. Paul’s this year and every year is that our message hasn’t changed over the 161 years of our existence. The good news the early settlers had in 1860 is what we still want to share today. That good news is based on our Savior Jesus Christ and his suffering and death for us on the cross. Our goal is still to preach Christ crucified for the removal of our sins and the hope of eternal salvation.
It is also our prayer to share that message with others. Therefore, if you are visiting this website to look at our church or find out more information about our church, please feel free to contact us. We would be glad to answer any questions you may have, or give you a tour of our facilities. We offer an excellent preschool through eighth grade Christian education at our school.
We look forward to meeting you!
Sincerely,
Pastor Ian Headrick
